As part of the BookMyName integration into the Scaleway ecosystem, Scaleway automatically migrates all BookMyName domain names starting September 2026. The migration happens in batches, and you will receive an email notification with your specific migration date.

The migration is transparent: your domain names stay online with no downtime, your DNS configuration remains the same, and your domain registration details are preserved.

This page explains how to access your domains after the migration, and what changes for you.

<Message type="important">
After your migration date, the BookMyName interface is no longer available. Log in to the [Scaleway console](https://account.scaleway.com/login) to manage your domain names.
</Message>

<Requirements />

- A BookMyName account with active domain names
- The email address associated with your BookMyName account
- Login credentials communicated via email during the migration process

## Access your domains after migration from BookMyName to Scaleway

1. Go to the [Scaleway console login page](https://account.scaleway.com/login).
2. Log in using the credentials communicated in your migration email.
3. In the [Scaleway console](https://console.scaleway.com) side menu, go to **Domains & Web Hosting** > **Domains & DNS**. The list of your domain names appears.
4. Click the domain name you want to manage. The **Domain overview** opens, where you can manage your DNS configuration, contacts, renewal settings, and domain lock status.

## About the migration

### Migration timeline

Migrations occur in successive batches starting from September 2026. You receive multiple email notifications:

- An announcement email with your scheduled migration date
- A reminder email before the migration
- A confirmation email after the migration is complete

The migration date is specific to each customer and is indicated in the announcement email.

### What changes

Your domain names are managed from the Scaleway console instead of the BookMyName interface. Your domains run on the Scaleway infrastructure, giving you access to modern management tools and APIs.

### What stays the same

Your domain names remain active throughout the migration process with no downtime. Your DNS configuration, contacts, and registration details are preserved during the migration.

External DNS servers (NS) are not affected by the migration. If you use third-party DNS hosting, your configuration remains unchanged.

Prices and renewal terms remain identical to your BookMyName contract.

### Billing and payment methods

Billing for domain renewals is handled through Scaleway. You can manage your payment methods and view invoices from the Billing section of the Scaleway console. See [Billing and payment methods](/billing/faq/#which-payment-methods-does-scaleway-accept) for more information.

For invoices prior to migration, contact [Scaleway Support](https://www.scaleway.com/en/support/).

### Support

After the migration, Scaleway handles all support for your migrated domains. The BookMyName support ticket history is not accessible after migration. For any other question related to your migrated domains, [open a support ticket](/account/how-to/open-a-support-ticket/#writing-an-effective-subject-and-description).

### Reseller accounts

Reseller accounts are migrated according to a specific schedule in 2027, and resellers receive separate communications about their migration timeline.
The reseller SOAP API remains available after the migration, so your existing integrations continue to work without any change on your side. Scaleway also provides a modern REST API you can start using at your own pace.

## FAQ

### Is the migration a domain transfer?

No. BookMyName and Scaleway are the same company and operate under the same registrar accreditation. The migration moves your account and domain names to the Scaleway console, but nothing changes at the registry level. Your expiration dates are unchanged, no renewal is triggered, and no authorization code (EPP/AUTH) or transfer fee is required.

### Why did I not receive the migration email?

This means your account is not yet scheduled for migration. Wait for the email indicating your migration date. No action is required on your part.

### Why can I not log in to the Scaleway console after the migration?

You must use the credentials communicated in your migration email. If you cannot log in to the Scaleway console after receiving your migration confirmation email, contact [Scaleway log in Support](mailto:login-support@scaleway.com).

### Why are my domains not appearing after migration?

If you received the confirmation email, but your domains do not appear in the Scaleway console, contact [Scaleway Support](https://www.scaleway.com/en/support/).

### What if I have multiple BookMyName accounts?

Each account is migrated separately. If you have multiple BookMyName accounts, you receive separate migration communications for each.

### What if I already have a Scaleway account with the same email address?

If your Scaleway account uses the same email address as your BookMyName account, your domains are migrated to that existing account.

Log in with your existing Scaleway account. Your migrated domain names appear directly in your existing Organization.

### What if I already have a Scaleway account with a different email address?

If the email addresses differ, your domain names are migrated to a separate, independent Scaleway Organization, with its own credentials.
Your existing Scaleway account is not affected, and your migrated domain names do not appear in it.

Log in using the credentials communicated in your migration email to manage your migrated domain names.

### Can I refuse the migration?

The migration is automatic for all BookMyName domain names and cannot be postponed. Scaleway is working to make the Domains experience as close as possible to BookMyName, in terms of both features and pricing.

### Can I change my migration date?

Migration dates cannot be changed. You can perform an outbound transfer before the migration if you do not wish to wait for the scheduled date. See [Transfer a domain name](/domains-and-dns/how-to/transfer-domain-name/) for more information.

### What if my domain expires during the migration?

Scaleway avoids scheduling migrations during a period when one of your domain names is due to expire. The migration itself is short, and you can renew your domain names from the Scaleway console as soon as your account is migrated.
If a domain name is due to expire close to your migration date, you can renew it in advance from your BookMyName account.

### What happens to my subdomains and redirects?

If your DNS is hosted by BookMyName, your DNS zone, subdomains and web redirections are recreated identically on the Scaleway infrastructure during the migration. You then manage them from the Scaleway console.

If your DNS is hosted with a third party, your DNS configuration, subdomains and web redirections are not affected by the migration.

### What happens to my email addresses?

Mailbox domains and email accounts hosted by BookMyName are migrated with your domain to [Scaleway Mailbox](/mailbox/). Customers with email accounts are scheduled for later migration batches. More information will be provided in future communications.

### How can I manage access to my domains for multiple users?

Use [IAM](/iam/concepts/#iam) to define custom access rights for each user in your Organization.
