Deploying GOGS in a few clicks with InstantApps
Gogs (Go Git Service) is a painless self-hosted Git Service written in Go. The goal of this project is to make the easiest, fastest and most painless way to set up a self-hosted Git service.
Click Create an Instance. The Instance creation wizard displays.
Choose the Gogs image in the InstantApps tab.
Follow the remaining steps to create your Instance.
To avoid spam, remote mail ports cannot be reached from our infrastructure by default. As Discourse requires to send mail, we need to open them. Your account needs to be validated to perform this operation. To get your account reviewed, please contact our assistance.
Click the Security Groups tab in the Instances overview page.
Click Create a new Security Group and input the security group name and description.
Check the Enable SMTP box to unblock the mail ports.
Return to the overview tab and select the security group you created in step 2.
The new Security Group configuration will be applied automatically on Virtual Cloud Instances.
When your server is running, you can see the server’s IP address in the server list on the control panel.
Connect to your server with SSH to recover the database password for Gogs.
Once you are connected to your server, the following message appear on your screen:
Save the password as you will need it in the next step.
Enter the IP of your server in your browser of choice. The Gogs Installation Assistant displays.
Fill in the required information.Note: Use the password that you previously saved to configure the MySQL connection.
Submit the form to finish the installation of Gogs.
Create the first user for Gogs by clicking on Register.
Once you have created the user, you can connect to Gogs and will see the following interface:
