This European heritage day, go behind the scenes of the internet!
September 18, 2021 – 09:30-18:00
For this year’s heritage day, Scaleway will open the doors to one of its data centers, and give you the rare opportunity to go behind the scenes of the internet!
👉 On September 18, Scaleway will open its Datacenter DC5 to the public for European heritage day. A unique occasion for the general public to go behind the scenes of the internet, and to discover France’s industrial and technological heritage. It will also be an opportunity for young talents, wishing to join the leading alternative European cloud provider, to meet Scaleway’s teams.
What you’ll discover:
DC5 combines industrial performance with energy efficiency, thanks to a patented adiabatic cooling system that makes it the most energy and water efficient data center in all of Europe.
With only a few grams of evaporated water in the air, a few hours per year, DC5 does not use air conditioning, which amounts to 30-40% of the energy consumption in traditional data centers, thus drastically reducing its environmental impact.
Located in the former postal sorting center of Saint-Ouen-l’Aumône in the Val-d’Oise, near Paris, Scaleway’s Datacenter DC5 was opened in 2018, and occupies a 17,000 m2 area.
Scalers are experts of the digital world, come meet us and discover how we run the cloud that makes sense!

- Do you want to find out more about a world little known to the public?
