  • Large or small, organizations can benefit from the innovation and performance breakthroughs EPYC™ 7003 Series processors deliver for the world’s most demanding workloads.

Enterprise Instances: dedicated resources combined with high performing Block Storage

Dedicated resources for performance

Our Enterprise Instances are performance-centric for your demanding workloads. World’s best AMD EPYC™ 7003 Series processors will be delivered with dedicated resources: 1vCPU is implemented as a single CPU-thread. Offering you powerful, consistent performances.

Boot-On-Block exclusive feature

Boot-On-Block offers you exclusive flexibility, performances and control features: 3x redundancy, larger root device, quick instance boot time, preservation of your volume content when instances are stopped, and much more.

AMD Secure Encrypted Virtualization (SEV)

Security is never optional, this is why Enterprise Instances leverage key AMD Infinity Guard² features. Including Secure Encrypted Virtualization (SEV), isolating virtual machines from the hypervisor by default.

Improved networking performance

With instances offering up to 20Gbit/s bandwidth, Enterprise Instances not only benefit from the performance of AMD EPYC 7003 CPU’s, but also give you the best network performance of Scaleways ranges.

High availability

Enterprise Instances are ideal to deploy your infrastructures in production. With a 99.99 % service level and high-end performance, they ensure the high availability of your services.

Unlimited Transfer

We will not charge you for the inbound and outbound transfer of these virtual machines, which stay free and unlimited. This allows you to grow your business without having to worry about costs. Your expenses are predictable.

European Cloud

We are proud to be one of the major European cloud providers. All our services are located within the European Union and protected by its regulations. This allows us to offer you a sovereign and GDPR-compliant cloud platform.

Energy and environmental efficiency

Our Enterprise instances are available in fr-par-2, the availability zone (AZ) located in DC5, our innovative and zero-carbon datacenter with an adiabatic cooling system. DC5 consumes up to 40% less energy than most other datacenters, and has an extremely low PUE of 1.15.

Security groups

Security groups are stateful cloud firewalls allowing you to secure network connections.

They let you define inbound or outbound policies for a group of cloud instances. You can set up drop or access rules on all TCP, ICMP and UDP ports. These rules can be applied to all IPs or only to a specific range.

Placement groups

Placement groups let you decide where to place your cloud instances.

You can create low-latency groups to locate your VMs as closely as possible and leverage network throughput at its best. You can also create high-availability groups to place your VMs on distinct physical hypervisors and maximize availability of your applications in case of an incident.

Snapshots allow you to back up and restore your cloud instances directly from the console or using our API/ developer tools. These backups can be used as point-in-time recovery in case of an incident or to create clones, replicas or VM fleets easily and quickly.

Flexible IPs

Each Instance comes with an exclusive flexible public IPv4.

It can be attached and detached on-demand and migrated without any downtime to other resources, whether it is an instance or a Load Balancer. In addition, each Instance benefits from a full /64 IPv6 range.

We designed a suite of tools to support developers in the deployment, configuration, orchestration and automation of infrastructures, whatever their size and type. Your infrastructure can be managed with our API and SDKs, using Terraform or with the scw command-line interface (CLI). You can also configure your instance at first start with cloud-init.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Enterprise Instances?

Scaleway’s Enterprise Instances are our high-range instances offer. They rely on the AMD EPYC™ 7003 Processor.

Enterprise Instances have Dedicated resources without “noisy neighbors” in colocation.

Enterprises instances will be compatible with our ecosystem: from our Free and Fully-Managed Kubernetes Control Plane to our VPC features such as Private Networks, Public Gateway, and our up-coming VPC Direct Connect.

Once again, we are working hard to provide our customers with the world’s best hardware for a fraction of the price of our CSP competitors.

What are the benefits to expect from Dedicated Ressources?

Dedicated Resources offer a more stable experience for Compute-Demanding workloads. Their benefits include:

  • No “noisy neighbors”
  • No “burst effects”
  • Optimization for demanding and specific needs

Where are my Enterprise Instances located?

Enterprise Instances are located in Paris (France, fr-par-2) and Warsaw (Poland). More Regions will soon be available: Amsterdam (Netherlands) and fr-par-1.
The whole Scaleway platform is protected by biometrical access control systems and by our own 24/7 on-site technical and security staff.

What makes FR-PAR-2 a sustainable Region?

FR-PAR-2 is our second innovative and sustainable availability zone (AZ) in Paris.

The eco-AZ FR-PAR-2 is our carbon neutral & environmentally efficient region. FR-PAR-2 100% powered by renewable (hydraulic) energy also has an energy footprint 30-40% lower than that of a traditional data center, thanks to the fact that it does not require air conditioning.

With FR-PAR-2, Scaleway reinforces its unique positioning and confirms its commitment to being the cloud that makes sense.
