CentOS 8.1 version 8.1.1911 based on the official CentOS 8 cloud image is now publicly available:

  • The BootLoaderSpec (BLS) style grub configuration has been disabled in /etc/default/grub to work around  CentOS Bug #17394
  • The following packages and their dependencies have been installed on the official image to allow for UEFI boot
    • dbxtool
    • efibootmgr
    • efi-filesystem
    • efivar
    • efivar-libs
    • grub2-efi-x64
    • grub2-efi-x64-modules
    • mokutil
    • shim-x64
  • Those packages and their dependencies have been excluded from upgrade to work around CentOS Bug #17280 that re-enable BLS and would render the instance unbootable

Glacier: fix the timeouts on large pushes, enhancing general network performance to S3-Glacier

Bug fixes:

  • Raise a 403 error instead of 500 when quotas are full
  • Add support for bucketx-amz-algorithmx-amz-credential and x-amz-date key in the POST method
  • Lifecycle Expiration is now only accepting positive integer (S3 API Spec Compliance)

  • Fix timeout handling in the gateway in order to handle very low traffic without interruptions
