Instances OS Images

  • Ubuntu 20.04 Focal Fossa
    • The Ubuntu 20.04 Focal Fossa  image has been updated to use the official 20.04.1 Ubuntu Cloud Image for the DEV and GP instance types. The image for the C1 type remains the same.
    • The image now uses the Scaleway specific scaleway-ecosystem package to provide our own specific scripts, systemd units and minimal customization. The package is hosted on Launchpad.
  • Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic Beaver
    • The Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic Beaver image has been updated to use the official 18.04.5 Ubuntu Cloud Image for the DEV and GP instance types. The image for the C1 type remains the same.
    • The only difference with the official image is the use of ifupdown  instead of netplan in order to keep the existing behavior of the previous images.
    • The image now uses the Scaleway specific scaleway-ecosystem package to provide our own specific scripts, systemd units and minimal customization. The package is hosted on Launchpad.
  • Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial Xerus
    • The Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial Xerus image has been updated to use the official 16.04.7 Ubuntu Cloud Image for the DEV and GP instance types. The image for the C1 type remains the same.
    • The image now uses the Scaleway specific scaleway-ecosystem package to provide our own specific scripts, systemd units and minimal customization. The package is hosted on Launchpad.
  • Debian 10 Buster
    • The Debian 10 Buster image has been updated to use the official Debian 10 Cloud Image for the DEV and GP instance types. The image for the C1 type remains the same.
    • The image now uses the Scaleway specific scaleway-ecosystem package to provide our own specific scripts, systemd units and minimal customization. The package is hosted on Launchpad.
  • Debian 9 Stretch
    • The Debian 9 Stretch image has been updated to use the official  Debian 9 Cloud Image for the DEV and GP instance types. The image for the C1 type remains the same.
    • The image now uses the Scaleway specific scaleway-ecosystem package to provide our own specific scripts, systemd units and minimal customization. The package is hosted on Launchpad.
  • CentOS 8
    • The CentOS 8 image has been updated to use the official  CentOS 8.3 cloud image for the DEV and GP instance types. The image for the C1 type remains the same.
    • The image now uses the Scaleway specific scaleway-ecosystem package to provide our own specific scripts, systemd units and minimal customization. The package is hosted on GitHub.
  • Fedora 32
    • The Fedora 32 image has been updated to use the official  Fedora 32 cloud image for the DEV and GP instance types. The image for the C1 type remains the same.
    • The image now uses the Scaleway specific scaleway-ecosystem package to provide our own specific scripts, systemd units and minimal customization. The package is hosted on GitHub.

  • New lifecycle policy:  Setting Rules for Incomplete Multipart Uploads. s3-object-lifecycle-management
  • A first iteration of Bucket policy has been implemented: Currently only the ListBucket, PutObject, GetObject, DeleteObject and DeleteBucket operations are supported, but more are coming during the quarter/year. A first use case (to get knowledge of bucket policy) is available: How to Import a Copy of s3 Objects from one Bucket to Another from a different project. Learn more about it
