What is a non-relational database?

SouthShortIcon

A non-relational (NoSQL) database is a flexible, scalable database that stores data in formats like key-value pairs, documents, graphs, or wide-column stores, rather than traditional tables. It's ideal for handling unstructured or semi-structured data in modern applications.

What is the difference between SQL and NoSQL?

SouthShortIcon

NoSQL databases like MongoDB offer flexibility for handling unstructured or rapidly changing data, making them ideal for use cases like real-time analytics, IoT, or user-generated content. They scale easily across distributed systems, providing high performance and availability. Relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL are better suited for applications requiring structured data, complex queries, and strong consistency.

Which version of MongoDB is supported?

SouthShortIcon

We support MongoDB's Community version 7.0.
