Scaleway announces at ai-PULSE major advancements in AI model accessibility, new compute capabilities, and expansion of its presence across Europe

At ai-PULSE 2025, Scaleway announces access to Holo 2 from H and Mistral AI's full suite through its platform, Europe’s first NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra, new quantum technologies, and new cloud Availability Zones across Europe.

Europe is entering a decisive moment in the development of AI infrastructure and platforms. The demand for trusted cloud technologies, energy efficiency and transparent infrastructure has never been stronger. At ai-PULSE 2025, Europe’s leading conference for AI builders, Scaleway unveils the most complete sovereign AI stack available in Europe today.

An extended ecosystems of AI models and products for builders across Europe

Through its integration with Hugging Face, as announced this September, Scaleway is strengthening its ecosystem, becoming the first sovereign inference provider to offer a broad catalogue of open-source models that can be deployed on its infrastructure in just a few clicks.

Scaleway now offers access to Holo 2, developed by H, a specialized model that combines strong reasoning with an understanding of user interfaces, making it the best for computer use and one of the most capable models for real-world agentic workflows.

In addition, the full Mistral AI Suite further enhances the offering, enabling the creation of AI use cases while managing the full AI lifecycle supported by high-performance models in conversation, document understanding, code assistance, and a wide range of industry-specific scenarios.

The result is a model and product ecosystem that supports a wide spectrum of use cases, from rapid exploration to the most demanding applications.

Europe’s first NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra now available on Scaleway

Since the earliest editions of ai-PULSE, Scaleway has consistently been the first European cloud provider to introduce new generations of advanced AI capabilities to the European market. This recurring pattern has cemented the event as a benchmark for major AI innovations and a moment when European builders gain early access to the most advanced technologies.

At ai-PULSE 2025, this trajectory continues with the introduction of the NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs (B300-class), now available through Scaleway’s cloud platform. Designed for agentic AI and large scale inference, the Blackwell Ultra B300 adds a higher performance tier to Scaleway’s GPU portfolio and reinforces the company’s role as the leading European AI cloud provider, giving builders early access to cutting-edge AI capabilities.

To accompany the adoption of new generations of processors, Scaleway is extending its Environmental Footprint Calculator to GPU workloads, offering organisations greater visibility into the energy consumption and environmental impact associated with high-performance AI operations.

The next chapter of AI performance: CPUs for continuous inference

As AI systems shift from experimentation to continuous, production-grade deployment, many inference workloads require predictable performance, stable latency and improved energy efficiency. These characteristics often make CPUs a strong complement to GPUs, particularly when models run at scale over long periods of time.

In this context, Scaleway is strengthening its collaboration with Ampere Computing by expanding its CPU portfolio with new ARM-based offerings engineered to deliver highly cost-efficient compute for sustained inference operations. In parallel, Scaleway is also closely collaborating with Fujitsu to test the next-generation MONAKA CPU, engineered to provide significant improvements in power and cost efficiency for AI inference workloads.

Taken together, these developments ensure that companies can choose the architecture that best suits the scale, cost and continuity requirements of their AI applications.

Continued expansion across Europe

Over the past six months, Scaleway has accelerated its geographical expansion across Europe. New Availability Zones in Sweden and Italy were announced, extending the company’s presence into two key markets. On November 18, Scaleway also confirmed a forthcoming AZ in Germany during the Franco German Forum in Berlin, strengthening its presence in one of Europe’s most important industrial and research centres.
This rapid sequence of announcements brings cloud resources closer to organisations across the continent and supports the growing demand for local deployment, operational resilience and clear jurisdictional alignment.

Leading platform for quantum computing

Quantum computing is becoming increasingly relevant for scientific and industrial workloads that require enhanced computing capabilities. Two years ago, Scaleway announced a collaboration with Quandela, introducing cloud based quantum emulation that allowed research teams to begin exploring quantum algorithms ahead of hardware availability. Last year, this collaboration advanced with access to Quandela’s photonic Quantum Processing Units, enabling practical work on optimisation problems and non linear operations widely used in AI, physics and simulation workflows.

The 2025 edition marks a further expansion through new partnerships with two of the most advanced companies in the sector. Neutral atom systems from Pasqal, a French pioneer in quantum hardware, enable high fidelity simulations of natural systems and support research in molecular modelling, chemistry, materials science and complex energy networks.

Superconducting processors developed by IQM Quantum Computers, a global leader in universal gate-based quantum computers capable of solving any computational problem, including optimisation and industrial-scale simulation.

All of these quantum technologies are available on Scaleway’s platform and can be accessed through open source frameworks including Qiskit, Pulser, Perceval and PennyLane.

This will give research teams access to advanced quantum methods through familiar tools and the convenience of working with a single provider that brings together multiple quantum modalities, establishing Scaleway as a leading platform for quantum computing in Europe.

“Making frontier models truly accessible is becoming as important as the breakthroughs themselves. With Holo 2 and the full Mistral AI Suite available on our highest performance systems, we are giving Europe’s builders immediate access to capabilities that push AI forward. Our ambition is to make advanced intelligence easy to use and open to every team that wants to create something new,” says Damien Lucas, CEO of Scaleway.
