Luis Alves named Chief Financial Officer
PARIS, December 7, 2023 — In a context of growth driven, amongst other factors, by the development of its AI offering throughout Europe, Scaleway, the cloud subsidiary of iliad Group, has named Luis Alves as its Chief Financial Officer, a key evolution in its management structure.
Alves joined iliad Group in 2004 as Accounting Manager for Freebox, where he actively participated in the rationalization of information flows and the optimization of production costs.
He went on to occupy a number of different financial management positions throughout iliad Group, before being named Head of Accounting for France in 2022. He notably oversaw the entire budgetary process, and worked to improve operational and financial performance measurement systems. Alves also led iliad Group’s exchanges with French tax authorities, and with rights collecting societies.
Alves began his career as a consultant with PwC France, before taking on a leading accounting role with Portugal Telecom group.
He holds a masters degree in economics and management from Paris X university, and a further degree in “Accounting Control Audit”, from Paris Dauphine University.
