Validate your algorithms, accelerate your experiments, and get ready for quantum.
Unlock the compute and support you need to launch your quantum project
Built for the DeepTech ecosystem
Whether you’re a quantum developer, ML engineer, R&D team, or early-stage startup, you need hands-on access to real QPUs and high-performance emulators to test your algorithms, build PoCs, validate your assumptions, and scale.
Structured around 3 pathways
Every quantum challenge calls for the right architecture. The program is structured around three distinct pathways designed to match your algorithmic needs. Each pathway gives you access to the specific QPU you need, across leading European platforms including Pasqal, Quandela, IQM, AQT, and Quobly.
Providing end-to-end environment
Stop juggling multiple platforms. Scaleway provides an end-to-end R&D environment. Use powerful GPU-based emulation to design and validate your circuits securely, then move seamlessly to physical QPUs - all within a unified ecosystem.

QML & Foundations
The photonic playground for Quantum Machine Learning and data science.
Achievable deliverable: Hybrid QML pipeline on a real dataset. Classical preprocessing (dimensionality reduction) and Quantum Kernel matrix computation on a photonic chip for a classifier (fraud detection, scoring, etc.) with high statistical precision
Achievable deliverable: VQE algorithm on a quantum chemistry problem. Launching benchmark campaigns and testing your error mitigation strategies on physical processors (ZNE).
Who can apply and what are the selection criteria?
The program is open to DeepTech startups, quantum developers, ML engineers, and R&D labs. Selection is application-based. We primarily evaluate three criteria: the relevance of the business use case, the clarity of the R&D plan, and the project's alignment with one of the program's three tracks.
How do the monthly vouchers work? Do they roll over?
To avoid the trap of credits burned in a single click, the grant is split into non-rolling monthly allocations over six months. At the beginning of each month, the account is credited with emulation hours and QPU access on our Quantum as a Service platform. Unused credits expire at the end of the month, encouraging a steady development pace.
What happens if I select the wrong track in my application?
No worries. The track selection during registration is used to calibrate initial access. If your research evolves (for example, if you realize the optimization problem in track 1 requires the neutral atom approach of track 3), a technical review with the Scaleway team will allow you to readjust your track along the way.
Who owns the intellectual property and what happens after the 6 months?
You retain 100% of your intellectual property and source code. At the end of the six months, laureates who have validated their PoC can switch to the standard Scaleway Startup Program to obtain global infrastructure credits, or move to a custom contract to integrate Scaleway's classical and quantum solutions into production.
