How to configure advanced PostgreSQL and MySQL Database Instance settings

Advanced settings allow you to modify the default configuration of your database engines.

Before you start

To complete the actions presented below, you must have:

Important

Changing the advanced settings can have an impact on the performance of your Database Instance.

  1. Click PostgreSQL and MySQL under Databases on the side menu. A list of your Database Instances displays.

  2. Select the geographical region of the Instance you want to manage from the drop-down.

  3. Click the Database Instance name or more iconDotsHorizontalIcon > More info to access the database information page.

  4. Click the Settings tab.

  5. Scroll to the Advanced Settings section.

    To add advanced settings, follow these steps:

    • Click edit iconPen2OutlineIcon.
    • Click + Add parameters.
    • Select your parameter in the drop-down.
    • Configure the value associated with your setting.
    • Click validate iconCheckCircleOutlineIcon to validate.

    To delete them:

    • Click edit iconPen2OutlineIcon in the advanced settings tab.
    • Click delete iconDeleteOutlineIcon next to the setting you wish to delete.
    • Click validate iconCheckCircleOutlineIcon to confirm your changes.
