How to activate an IPv6 block for Scaleway Dedibox servers

Note

Only users who have linked their Dedibox account to the Scaleway console before October 28, 2025 can manage their resources from both consoles. If you did not complete this process, you can use the Dedibox console to place orders, manage your Dedibox servers, and access the related documentation.

Before you start

To complete the actions presented below, you must have:

A Scaleway account logged into the console
Owner status or IAM permissions allowing you to perform actions in the intended Organization
Ordered a Dedibox server

Click Dedibox in the Bare Metal section of the side menu. The Dedibox overview page displays.
Click the IPv6s tab to enter the IPv6 section of the console.
Click + Activate my IPv6 block. A pop-up displays.
Click Activate my free IPv6 block to obtain a /48 IPv6 block.

Your IPv6 block will be activated and displayed on the IPv6 page.

Important

The DUID of your prefix (and each of its subnets) is like a private key and grants you access to your prefix. Keep it secret and do not share it.
