How to monitor logs and metrics for Public Gateways
Scaleway Public Gateways is fully integrated into Cockpit, and allows you to quickly access your logs and metrics. This page explains how to get started with Scaleway Cockpit to monitor your Public Gateways.
Logs and metrics for Public Gateways with default retention (31 days for metrics / 7 days for logs & traces) are free of charge.
Before you start
To complete the actions presented below, you must have:
- A Scaleway account logged into the console
- Owner status or IAM permissions allowing you to perform actions in the intended Organization
- Created a Public Gateway
How to access the Grafana dashboard

From the Scaleway console Cockpit overview page, click Access Grafana in the top right corner.

From the Scaleway Dashboards panel, select:
- PGW logs to access the logs of your Public Gateways.
- PGW Overview to access the metrics of your Public Gateways.
You are directed to the selected dashboard. You can use the filters at the top of the page to refine the displayed information.
Available logs and metrics
The following logs are available to monitor your public Gateways:
- SSH Bastion logs
The following metrics are available to monitor your Public Gateways:
- Number of Public Gateways over time
- Inbound/outbound network traffic (bytes per second)
