How to monitor Topics and Events with Scaleway Cockpit

You can view metrics for Topics and Events via Scaleway Cockpit. This allows you to monitor your topics and messages at a glance.

Before you start

To complete the actions presented below, you must have:

A Scaleway account logged into the console
Owner status or IAM permissions allowing you to perform actions in the intended Organization

To view your metrics with Cockpit, you will use a Grafana dashboard which is accessible from the Scaleway console.

IAM permissions required

You will need either of the following IAM permissions to access your Cockpit's Grafana:

ObservabilityFullAccess: Full access to Cockpit
ObservabilityGrafanaEditor: Editor access to Cockpit's Grafana, read-only access to all other Cockpit features
ObservabilityReadOnly: Read access to Cockpit

Click Topics and Events in the Integration Services section of the Scaleway console side menu.
Click the Metrics tab.
Click Open Grafana metrics dashboard.
Log in to Grafana.

You are directed to the Topics and Events dashboard, where you can view all your metrics.
