    Changed

    • The IAM application-id of the control plane is now visible.
    • This release introduces new patch versions for Kubernetes 1.35.9, 1.36.5, and 1.37.1.

These versions contain the following dependencies:

    Control plane & add-ons

This release upgrades the Kubernetes control plane and node components to version 1.37, including updated networking, storage, and observability components.

    Important

The v2alpha1 version of the CiliumNodeConfig object is removed and not automatically converted. Before upgrading, manually convert it to apiVersion: v2, otherwise the cluster will no longer run until it has been migrated.

The following feature gates are available and can be enabled as needed:

    • HPAScaleToZero
    • CPUManagerPolicyAlphaOptions
    • MutatingAdmissionPolicy
    • ImageVolume

For more information, refer to Scaleway's Kubernetes version support policy.

  • Kubernetes

You can now define custom user-data dedicated to a pool. This enables you to specify cloud-init configuration relying on custom user-data, which your node can then read at boot time. For more details, see the cloud-config examples (External link) in the cloud-init documentation.

    Key interactions with user-data:

Use user-data named "cloud-init" with caution, overriding some configurations can break nodes. Scaleway does not offer support for troubleshooting your cloud-init specific script.
