Use the Resource Explorer

The Resource Explorer lets you search for and locate resources across all Projects in your Organization from a single view. You can filter results by resource type, Project, location, and creation date, or search directly by resource name, ID, or IP address.

Note

Resource Explorer is in Public beta. Some resource types are not supported in this version. See the list of supported resource types below.

Before you start

To complete the actions presented below, you must have:

  • A Scaleway account logged in to the console
  • Owner status or IAM permissions allowing you to view resources in the intended Organization

Access Resource Explorer

  1. Log in to the Scaleway console.
  2. In the side menu, click Resource Explorer. The Resource Explorer page opens, listing all resources across your Organization that match the current filters.
Tip

You can also reach Resource Explorer from the top search bar: click Resource Explorer at the bottom of the results.

The results table lists each matching resource with the following columns:

  • Name: the resource name, and a link to the resource detail page.
  • Location: the region or Availability Zone of the resource.
  • Project: the Project the resource belongs to.
  • Creation date: the date the resource was created.
  • Last updated: the date the resource was last updated.

Click a column header to sort the table by that column.

Filter and search resources

Search for a resource

  1. Click the Search field.
  2. Enter a resource name, ID, or IP address. The list updates automatically to display matching resources.

Filter by resource type

  1. Click the Resource Type dropdown.
  2. Enter a keyword in the Search in list field to find a specific type, or scroll through the list.
  3. Check the box next to each resource type to include, or check All Resource types to select them all. The count next to All filters updates to reflect the number of active filters.

Filter by Project

  1. Click the Project dropdown.
  2. Check the box next to each Project to include, or check All Projects to select them all. Your default Project has a star icon.

Use advanced filters

  1. Click All filters. The Filters panel opens.
  2. Refine your search using any of the following criteria:
    • Search: resource name, ID, or IP address.
    • Resource Type: one or more resource types.
    • Project: one or more Projects.
    • Location: one or more regions or Availability Zones.
    • Creation Date: a date range. The default range is set to today.
    • Last Updated: a date range. The default range is set to today.
  3. Click See results to apply the selected filters.

Clear filters

Click Clear All to remove every active filter and display all resources. If no resource matches your current filters, click Clear filters in the empty state to reset your search.
