How to use the KVM Dell iDRAC 7
This page shows you how to use KVM on a Dedibox with DELL iDRAC 7.
- You have an account and are logged into the Dedibox console
- You have Java installed on your local computer
- Your Dedibox server has a Dell iDRAC 7 KVM-over-IP device
Creating an iDRAC 7 session
- Click Server > Server List in your Dedibox console. The list of your dedicated servers displays.
- Click the name of the server you want to access. The server’s status page displays.
- Click iDRAC in the menu on the right. A pop-up displays.
- Accept the terms for iDRAC access by clicking I Accept.
- Enter the authorized IPv4 address for the iDRAC connection. The IP address of your Internet connection is already pre-filled in the form. Then click Create to generate your credentials.
Note:
Currently, only IPv4 addresses are accepted.

Accessing the KVM-over-IP device

Open the connection URL of your iDRAC in your web browser, then log in using the credentials displayed during access creation.

Click Attached Media in the top menu. The virtual media page displays.

Enter the image file path in the form and click Connect.
Tip:You can find the image file path for your OS on our NAS.
Do not hesitate to contact our support team if your favorite OS is missing from the NAS. -
Click Properties (A), then Launch (B) to start the virtual console.

Reboot the server, then press F11 during the boot process to enter the boot manager.

Click BIOS Boot Menu.

Click iDRAC Virtual CD.
Your server boots from the ISO file on the NAS and you can complete the installation of your operating system.
